This was our very first time visiting Butterfly World, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience! The sheer number of butterflies flying all around you is breathtaking. Beyond the beautiful butterfly gardens, a major highlight for me was the aviaries, especially getting to hand-feed the incredibly vibrant and friendly lorikeets! I was also highly impressed by the museum and insectarium. They have an amazing, educational collection of unique species from all corners of the world. It’s a beautifully maintained, immersive attraction that is perfect for all ages. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful. Inspiring. Relaxing. We started around 10am with the Life Cycle display and then ended around 1pm with the gift shop. Be sure to bring cash as there’s a place where you can feed and interact with birds ($2 per treat) halfway through the nature walk. They give you a map so you can choose where to venture and however long you want to explore the birds, bugs, and beautiful flowers ~ My favorite part was the gardens but unfortunately there’s not much to see blooming during July - best to come during cooler climate. Last time we came it was in June so we saw a few more flowers bloom than this time around. Also suggest starting earlier in the day so you don’t run into the heat of the day during the height of the summer~ Cuz by golly it’s a hot one on the grill for sure.

Amazing time! It is mostly outdoors, so make sure you take water & dress appropriately for the weather. Lots of places to sit & enjoy yourself inside the butterfly exhibits & bird exhibits. The butterfly & bug museums are small, but still very educational (& a nice reprieve from the heat during the summer!) The gift shop is full of butterfly trinkets & other cute items

This was one of our favorite spots for our Fort Lauderdale trip! You can get through the entire experience in 2 hours. If you have young kids, the must have stops are the lorikeet feeding ($2 per small cup of juice) and the Chinese Quails. Our kids raved about both. The staff is helpful and signage is clearly marked. Parking is in the sports complex. Highly recommend for kids and nature lovers.
